welcome to frozen treat utopia
It's snowing! It's been dry and pretty warm here recently, but now it's all snowy and pretty and Christmasy. I want it to snow, because then I can go sledding, but if it snows too much then driving will be a pain/dangerous/impossible. So maybe we can reach a happy medium in there someplace, where both sledding and driving can be accomplished with the greatest of ease.
It needs to be tomorrow now. I'm very impatient when it comes to giving gifts; I want to do it NOW. I gave my parents their presents a little while ago, and they both seemed to like them. They gave me mine, also, which means that the only presents that I haven't gotten yet are Adam's and whatever I may get from my various siblings/relatives. Also, the only presents that I have left to give are Adam's, and a few small things for Amanda and Pat. The Christmas gift giving/getting climax seems to have come a bit early this year. Not that it really matter, because our Christmas this year is about as typical as a gay, black Nazi. In any case, I am now the proud owner of:
A popcorn kit thing, a print of a fairy painting, a phone card, an octopus-shaped massager, a water bottle with a camel on it, a kitty box (meaning a box with cats on it, not a box shaped like a cat or a box full of cats), a box of melon popsicles (!), a gift certificate for an oil change, a $20 Subway Cafe gift certificate, a $50 Barnes & Nobles gift card, a $125 Dick Blick gift card, a daisy night light, the best knit beanie hat ever, and $190 in cash. Goodness.
So, right now I'm eating Doritos and perusing the Dick Blick wesbite. Mmm, arty goodness. Color me very excited about the box of melon pops, also. Adam and I went to the Korean store to get some things, and he bought me the whole box. Woo! I now have a box of melon pops AND a box of coconut pops - I'm not sure my popsicle situation could improve in any way, ever. There is no bad when the melon pops and coconut pops join forces. They transform the freezer into a mythical paradise of tropical fruit goodness that puts both Disney World and Heaven to shame. Although I suppose I shouldn't really comment on that last one, because unlike Disney World, I have never been to Heaven. But seriously, unless they have a huge freezer full of both coconut and melon pops, it's going to have to step down and let my current state of popsicle utopia take the crown.
Okay, well, I've been writing this for over an hour, so it's time for me to go do something else. My family's Christmas shindig is at 12:30 tomorrow, which means that I have to get up before noon. Ouch. It's gotten to the point where that thought actually hurts. I'm going to be nine kinds of screwed when I get back to school and have to suffer through another 8 o' clock class. Anyhow, yeah, off to make a list of things to buy with my lovely gift certificates. Cheers.
