the early bird gets to take a big test
listening to... my mom talking to the cat.
reading... X20, by Richard Beard.
feeling... nervous.
I can't believe I'm awake. I haven't been up this early since I got out of school. It's sort of nice, but at the same time it's horrid and painful. I couldn't fall asleep last night; I just layed there and stared at the ceiling and tried to stop thinking about everything. My brain is too active at night.
Part of the problem could also be that I haven't gone to bed before 3 a.m. in weeks. Bah. This is such a disruption of my sleep schedule.
Oh! I am once again a member of the work force. Hollywood Video hired me; I start tomorrow. The pay is kind of shitty - $6.15/hour - but it's a job, right? That's really all that matters. I get to keep my nose ring in. And I get free movie rentals! Nice. The only thing that sort of irritates me is that when I filled out the application she said it would be 3 or 4 nights a week, but she gave me my schedule yesterday I work 5 days. I mean, that's alright, but I don't want to to work that much. I don't have any reason to work that much. I don't have anything to pay for except for my car insurance and my birth control (which, by the way, I pay exorbitantly for). And it's my first week - do I really need to work 32 hours my first week? *sigh* I shall have to talk to this woman.
Ugh. Cramps. Must die. I keep reminding myself that cramps = no baby, but somehow the excruciating pain just gets in the way of my reasoning abilites.
