this is your life!
*announcer voice* Ladies and gentlemen, this is my fantasy:
Breakfast in Bed
There are few things better than waking up to the smell of hot coffee and sizzling bacon, or fresh fruit and granola, especially when it's right under your nose. What is it about the combination of breakfast and bed? It can be more intimate than a candlelit dinner, yet as comfortable as an old pair of slippers. And this is only the start of your Breakfast in Bed romantic fantasy.
Yours is a dream inhabited by your trusty sweetheart and reliable soul mate, not by mysterious men from exotic places. Whether it's a cozy night next to a roaring fire, or an evening eating pizza straight from the box while wrapped up in a blanket on the floor, you love the fact that your fantasy doesn't need to venture far from reality.
That doesn't mean you don't like a good surprise every now and then. Flowers on your pillow or tickets to the hot new show are enough to provide a year's worth of future daydreams.
Yeah, actually, it's rather true to life. Go to Emode.com and see what lights your fire.
After yesterday's trauma, I thought that I'd spend the next week moping around and bawling my eyes out... but no! That assumption was quite wrong. At about 10 p.m. last night I called Adam, and after a long, tear-filled talk I asked him if I could go see him. He said yes. I know that I'd only left there a few hours ago, but I just needed to be with him last night - I don't know why. I feel a lot better now, even though I'm here and in pretty much the same situation as I was before. When I got home this afternoon I made the rest of my cookies, which turned out fantastically, and the book that I'm reading right now is getting really good. I'm content, for the moment. *laughs* You know, even if I can't have the the book, the cookies, and the boy, two out of three isn't so bad.
I need to go get new ink cartridges tomorrow. A few of my christmas presents involve some printing, but alas, my printer has run dry. I have to pick up some new Mod-Podge and a few other things, too, so I guess tomorrow with be a shopping day. I think I have an idea for Adam, finally - I was starting to go mad thinking about it. It should be cool if I can pull it off. It'd be useful, in any case, which I suppose is better than some random knick-knack that would just sit around and gather dust. Christmas seems to be the time for knick-knacks. You give people weird things that they like but that they'd never buy for themselves; things that have no practical purpose.
You know... knick-knack is the strangest word.
